Health is an investment, not an expense.

How many of us see it this way though?

How often do you say no to the organic foods because they are too expensive? Making homemade meals too hard? How many times do you neglect squeezing in a workout because you just don’t have the time? How about sleep? Do you find yourself giving up quality sleep for other things?

Whether it’s an investment of time, money or effort, you are worth it! Your long term health depends on it.

The truth is, if given the choice between shopping for clothes or going to Whole Foods, I’ll choose the latter. It’s not that I don’t enjoy new clothes, it’s just that I’ve come to understand that what I put in my body matters in the here and now AND in the future.

It's with that in mind that I wanted to share with you a couple simple ways I invest in my health through my favorite wellness company, Young Living (YL).

First, I have committed to a monthly wellness box, aka Essential Rewards. I have decided that my family and I are worth an investment of  $50- $100  a month. Instead of spending this money on products that are filled with the unknown and instead of trusting other companies to have my best health interests in mind, I decided to trust YL. It gives me peace of mind that I’m not adding to my toxic burden every time I brush my teeth or clean my house.

Secondly, I invest in my health by adding Ningxia Red to my monthly order. Yes, it’s expensive. I’m not going to try to convince you otherwise. But, I believe the antioxidant super food supplement is worth every penny! Especially in this time we are living. If it means I have to shop at second hand stores or go without something else, so be it. A brand new sweater may look nice, but it’s not going to help me live a longer and healthier life. A strong immune system is everything, my friends. It is your best weapon to staying above the wellness line. I challenge you to take care of it in a new way, this new year. It’s not as hard as it sounds. The recommended “dose” of Ningxia  is only 1-2 oz a day. Try it daily for a month and take note of how it makes you feel. Personally, I have found it increases my energy level, keeps my digestive system working well, and I trust it’s doing work on a cellular level that I just can’t see!

Another daily healthy habit I have is to roll Thieves essential oil on the bottom of my feet each night before crawling into bed. The goal is to give my immune system support in it's daily job of keeping me well. Thieves is a blend of five powerful essential oils cinnamon, clove, lemon, eucalyptus and rosemary. This blend includes the naturally occurring constituents trans cinnamaldehyde (Cinnamon Bark), limonene (Lemon), and eucalyptol (Eucalyptus Radiata and Rosemary). Go look these up. Seriously. If you’re skeptical of what difference an oil blend like Thieves can make, do research into the science of the constituents/properties of each individual oil.  Or, simply start using it and let your personal results and testimony convince you.

So, there you have it. Three investments I make in my health. I’m convinced they’re worth it because I'm worth it. So are you. #contact me.  Let's make the investment together. It's always easier and more fun to start a new healthy habit when you have others cheering you on!
