Three years ago, I grieved the loss of what was. Of my kid's childhood. Of our home schooling years. Although, in reality, the letting go process began years ago, sending him away to college was by far the hardest part of this journey. I daresay it was similar to the recent experience of breaking my leg. One moment I was walking happily down a path, enjoying the fresh air and sunshine, the next moment, I felt a sharp pain and was on the ground. Reluctantly, with no other choice, I got up slowly to whimper and hobble home.

Are you an over-functioner? I am. It's never more obvious to me than when I'm in a position to NOT do something. Like when I'm sick and have no energy to get off the couch. Or, when I am injured.
The later just happened.
I slipped on some ice this morning when walking my dogs. It was totally my fault, not theirs. First, I didn't have to go out. I could have waited until the temperature had risen and the the snow had melted more, but I thought we needed the fresh air and exercise sooner rather than later. And, like I said, I'm a over-functioner.

I recently had an oily get-together and I enjoyed every minute of it! I tell ya, it feels so good to have people over again. It had been a year since I invited my Young Living friends to gather in my home to fellowship and talk all things oils. I've always enjoyed having people over, but it's icing on the cake when conversation revolves around a healthy living lifestyle.
I use to stress and drive my family crazy the hours before guests showed up. I’d get snappy and grumpy as the hour approached.
